Check your Google ranking for free

Check where your site ranks on Google for any keyword, free. Pick a country and device and see your real position in the top 50 results.

What is a Google rank check?

It measures where your site appears in the search results for a given keyword. What you see in your own browser is personalised by your history, location and account. This tool runs the search in a neutral context.

How does this tool work?

Enter a keyword and a domain and a real Google search runs for the country and device you selected. The first 50 results are scanned and your position is shown if the domain appears.

Why is this different from what I see?

Personalisation, location and device. Google ranks sites you have clicked higher for you, the same keyword differs between cities, and mobile and desktop results are calculated separately.

Why are mobile and desktop ranks separate?

Google maintains separate indexes, and page speed and mobile usability weigh more heavily on mobile. If most visitors arrive on phones, the mobile position is the one that matters.

I know my rank. What next?

A single check tells you where you stand now, but rankings move within a day. The trend over time is what matters: which keywords climb, which slip, and when a competitor passed you.
